Freestylin Magazine retrospective
« on: June 29, 2008, 05:07 PM »
Last night in Hollywood Nike SB threw down an invitation only premier party for the Freestylin' retrospective magazine.  There were soooo many old riders there I'm afraid to try to list them because I know I will leave a few people out.

If you were an invited rider you could get a ticket to get one of these

A limited edition hard cover magazine with the most influential riders of the 80's and 90's.
Supposedly only 2500 of these sets were made and there won't be any for sale.   ::)
Steve McCloud ended up with about 6  :coolsmiley:
Somehow I ended up with 4 >:D

I saw and chatted with Nick Philip last night as well as these guys, can't remember their names though  :)

There were a few bikes hanging up and on display, I snapped a few pics but put my camera away for the night because it's hard to hold two drinks AND a camera.

There should be quite a few more riders showing up for my birthday ride this year, I forgot to ask Hoffman if he could make it though :uglystupid2:

I love California!

Andy

Oh man Id loved to have been there!
Andy, as ever the invitation to Old Fools in 2009 is open to any of you guys that can make it, Maurice Meyer is up for it too, so lets see what happens.
Perhaps a few of us Old Fools from the UK can make your birthday ride next year too...
Glad you had a great night - I also love California!

What an awesome pic Andy....

I don't know about the rest of you, but I think that pic is as cool as fook!!
To me, that is pretty much as impressive as most of the action pics that you see in the mags.

When's your birthday Andy? I've forgotten...  :-[  Just a crazy little thought running through my mind at the moment...  ;D

I'm not exactly sure about that.  People were saying that it would not be for sale, they will give them away in the Nike stores but there won't be any for sale.  The very same people that said only the riders featured in the book/magazine could get a copy, yet they handed them out to every rider in attendance.  I may have one extra, but I don't know for sure yet.  I will keep you at the front of my mind Pete.

Yep that was it.  It's too bad they didn't show more riders though, because there were a lot.

That was cool. Great that Spike Jones made it, I thought he might have been to "big time" now. Good stuff.
