s&m frame any ideas on which model.

I'm more interested in old school bmx, but I managed to get this for £3. I'll probably be selling it once it's sandblasted & powder coated
someone grinded off the cable guide and I am not sure if there is still threads for the U brake mounts.

Im with you phil, I thought that myself. And having the shield in the gusset might make it later than a Next Gen.

I wouldnt say it was Stricker cos I think they had euro BBs. It might be a Black bike?

dont know about that  ;D

the 2000s are more my era though  :)

it was the angle of the dropouts that did it for me , quick "s&m pbr" into google and it was the same  :)

i did notice a shop still selling them for £250 , so at £3 its a bargain

Id forgoten that PBRs had a gusset top and bottom of the headtube. I think the stricker was totally the same as the PBR but it has seat stay brakes, and a euro BB.

My old PBR. I dont think it had a shield in the toptube or downtube gusset

My old Bennett

(I didnt really like either of these frames)

Top tube is 20" from centre of seat tube to centre of headset tube

I can't find a serial number where are they usually located

similar to this one on ebay but mine has a standard sized bottom bracket

"i had a sta too, what a fooking frame eh? best bmx ever built?"

they shouldave come with a free can of coke as most ended up with a bit of can to cure the flaired headtube  ;D

they did get ridden into the ground though

i wouldnt give a best ever built title to something with a crimped tube though

alex are you sure it wasnt your choice of forks  :P

That one on ebay is a stricker, and the PBR was the same apart from it had a USA BB.

Looks like yours is a PBR then. It was the shield on the BB wishbone that made me think Next Gen, but the headtube gusset and dropouts are nothing like a Next Gen. My bad!  :-[  Phil was loads closer with his Stricker suggestion.

Yeah, Im all one for trying different stuff, but those plastic forks never held up to well  ;D

found this PBR on an older post seems the same I was offered £25 in it's current state. I think I might build it up and try it unless I get a better offer
