87 onwards they were stamped. I have a NOS set of 1985 (with a shop receipt!) i bought a few months ago from someone and they are not stamped.

The earlier ones have just  the chrome circular GT logo decal on back left hand side and of course the long gt decal on the front crossbar. Well, the 6 odd pairs i have here do and they are all definately pre 1985.Will get a photo up later this afternoon.  :daumenhoch:

Cheers for that guys i bought a set of santa ana pro's a while back but was recently looking at jimmyp's team aero. He put Gt bars on it and they were stamped. I thought i had been done for the minute, mine need a rechrome. just took of the original decals and the chrome underneath is oh so brand new and shiney.
Also i have been looking on ebay and never seem to see any of the santa ana bar decals come up, it's always the later ones does anyone know where i can get the santa ana one's and how much i should expect to pay?

If he wanted to be super Anal about it,the ones on Jimmys TAP aren't correct for Ruffells bike.Although exactly same dimensions,as the different crossbar didnt come until 87.
When he switched from Renthals to GT Pro it was mid 84.Also he ran the same ones as Craig Schofield and Craigs had the decal on,i remember personally and also you can see them in one of the Annuals. GT didnt stamp their bars until late 86 earliest...I have an 85 set NOS in the bag with shop receipt - they are not stamped. The rest you see are all 82-84. Unstamped. Just the two decals.

You can get decals on the USA bay easily enough quite often.Virtually undistinguishable from the real ones, failing that Vert-Ego sell them  :daumenhoch:

GT Pro Bars. Like f00kin buses, you wait for ages..Nothing,then loads come along at once  ;D

I don't thinks either of those are Santa ana? They both say 4130 Chrome Moly.

This is your man for the real thing.  http://www.bmxproducts.com/store/index.php'main_page=product_info&cPath=2&products_id=1

He has the rights for both GT and Mongoose decals. He sells on eboy.

Contact him through this auction and tell him what you want, seems a top man, his name is Bill Curtin.

2 of my 6 pairs bars have "Chrome Moly" on the long crossbar decal part, rest have "Santa Ana". All the original 80's decals.

But on all the bars the GT round decal on the back is exactly same and says "Santa Ana C.A." around the top and "4130 Chrome Moly" at the bottom.

Just depends if you want the Santa Ana on the crossbar and pay twice as much for the privilage.
