Scored - Pro Burner - Now With Pics
« on: June 21, 2008, 03:34 PM »
Hi all

I have just found a Chrome Pro Burner with good stickers.

It has CW bars and all blue bits, no cracking in the R Gusset.

It is dated May 1983 and has serial - 126 (is that built per month or a running total?)

Could someone please list the hierachy of the Burner Models from top to bottom.

I remember reading about these a while ago but not sure of the quality etc.

Any help please.

Thanks.

J.

Please excuse the grass, it's been raining today so I went out on the hunt and found this -

Will this be able to take the weight for the late night flatland session at MK, and the MK2 Mag Burner be able to rest and stay warm and dry. Trev didi look great doing the Cherry Picker though.  ;)

Nice find. I spent a year and a half looking for one of them (I even joined the Burmer forum!). I ended up finding one on Ebay, and the seller turned out to be our own Beard (he wasnt on RAD back then). Mine is the only one I have seen for sale since, although I havent really been looking.

Here are the top 2, and the bottom 2 of the mk1 burners (I think there was a super burner and maybe one other in the middle?). The pro was way above the rest and the only one that was close to being a good BMX. All the others had the same frame ... which wasnt very good.

CHRIST....... ALEX LEACH IS A BURNER FREAK

Like I said, a mate wanted a mk1 pro so I found one for him. I needed the first cataloge to get te spec correct.
(Oh, and my first bike was an ultra burner, so as a lad I looked at those mk1 pics many many times!)
