Alloy frame restoration - Help needed
« on: January 10, 2006, 04:02 AM »
I got given a 1996 Mongoose Solution Pro alloy frame. It's in excellent condition (Apart from scuff marks and minor scratches) but it has a sort of clear top coat on it. My question is: How do I go about removing this in order to polish it up like new? I know it's not an old school frame but with the wealth of knowledge that people have on this site, I'm bound to find the help I'm looking for regarding my restoration project
 :)

I reckon Nitromors would get the clear varnish off.

yeh try mors on that clearcoat

polish the frame using autosol, or brasso - that works pretty good.
