Carbon Frame Repair
« on: June 19, 2008, 12:21 PM »
There is a carbon frame for sale which has a crack in the BB shell. Apparently it is ok...however, is it possible to have a "repair" done....Some kind of bonding or glue or something??

probably but personally i wouldn't tough it with a barge poll

they normally have an alloy crank case and headset tube built into the carbon frame, if this is where it's cracked then you may end up with the BB just moving around within the frame thus rendering it unusable  :-\
