A short update on Ratty
«

Here are the facts so far: The surgeon was satisfied with the way the op went.
Afterwards he was in intensive care heavily dosed with morphine etc.
Moved from intensive care to a ward but it was deemed too soon so he went back into intensive care today where he is now.
He remains heavily sedated but stable & not causing undue concern to the hospital staff.
Obviously he has been through a very major op & it is very early days.
One step at a time is the way to look at this so please pray for him.
Hard to know what else to say really.
I'm going in to see him tommorow & will pass on all the messages that get left here, i'm sure they will help.
He's a strong fella so i'm sure he'll win this 'race'

Was thinking of you all day yesterday, and Nikki and the family.
Shit like this should not be happening to the good guys.
We all hope that you get back to business as soon as possible.
Tony and Family.

Say hello to Tony from me and the boys. We had planned to get up to see him this morning but obviously this latest development has prevented that. Can't do Thursday but Friday looks a definite maybe. I'll contact Nikki before we travel though. Wish the big guy well and tell him I've got a big man-hug for him when I see him. Stay strong Tony, we're all there for you mate. Humps

Just double check it was the cyst and not the brain they took out.
Oh and don't use this as an excuse for not racing old school on Sunday. And no you can't have last place points for rolling off the gate in your hospital bed.

Tony is out of intensive care today (wed) & sitting up in bed & even managing to feed Lilly Ann!!
Sitting up is really good news as it stops the build up of fluid on the lungs!!
I'll post more later after i've been in to see him.

Went to see Tony last night, he was looking quite well but has some recovering to do, the Morphine was doing its job really well!!
He was telling me that the bmx community are in uproar about the valve caps i'm using and that he has 87 vans on the road now!!
He's being really brave with constant injections etc & is in good spirits, he's very tired though, falling asleep mid sentance several times.
He has family around him & is being well looked after & hopefull of being home by the weekend.
Overall its very good news.
