need some grippy pedals
« on: June 16, 2008, 06:19 PM »
right basically stopped wearing my vans as it hurt my heels too much every time i bailed and got some skate shoes with padded soles, trouble is now every time i jump out of something it is like trying to land on ice!

need some super grippy pedals, zak shaw had some wellgo mg-1s which when i had a go my feet stuck like shit to a blanket so was thinking these, anybody got any other suggestions?

modern shimano DX, lovely. come with longer studs and a little allen key to change them if you need grippier.

you could even run longer studs one side and small studds the other so you've got two option.
(i mean on either side of seach pedal, not on either side of the bike)

cool, i aint bothered about the cost too much cos id rather pay out for a set i get along with rather than end up getting a cheap set then having to get another set 2 weeks down the line

i come off a lot too so nothing that cant take it  :LolLolLolLol:

v12 are the same platform shape as v8's just different bearings and magnesium bodies , but you cant beat the wellgos mg1's for grip and they are light as well  :)

are the dmr v12s not slightly larger than the v8s as they do v12s normal and magnesium......

suppose its between the mg-1s and v12 magnesiums

:) Personally found that the long pins on the new DXs to still be short,& V8s to be flimsy.Burgtec Penthouse flats are pretty good tho`......

Yep, those Oddy Trailmix are lovely, I use them on my OM - the best feel of any pedal IMO.

Outright grip though has to be the V12's.
