I sold my soul to the devil (pt 1)
« on: June 05, 2008, 07:13 PM »
I have been piecing together yet another makeover for my trusty Dingo 24" and wanted to build a new school race bike (as apposed to a retro where I get asked a million questions every time I go out on it)

and here it is, very nice with blue nice parts on it BUT look at the front!!

CARBON forks!! (I actually did my homework and found out these are mega strong AND they were cheap  :daumenhoch: )

 :) DINGO :)

I might as well own up as well.  I'm trying to make my bike as light as possible so my proposed future upgrades include Sinz carbon forks, Answer carbon seat post and Tioga Spyder saddle.

I might even try clips.

There was a guy over on BMX talk who rode these forks on the track/trails and skatepark and he actually snapped a cro mo frame before the forks

I used carbon bars everyday for two years when mtb guiding too so am not too worried (but thanks for your concern Dan)

 :) DINGO :)

would rate the bombshells but for this season have gone back to sinz cro-mo forks as nearlly as light as the bombshells .

main reason for reverting back to cro-mo was that as 40+ is getting very close  i.e 8 guys into 1 corner usually does not go i wanted something a little more tougher than carbon in the event of a crash etc  ;D

That's NS for sure Mark..very black..I almost went the carben route too,but I'm light enough for the SX UL forks that weigh in around the same as the Bombshells,so I stuck with steel..The shape suits your set up though.. :daumenhoch:
I'm wondering what part 2 is now....How many times can you sell your soul?

That looks nice Mark  :daumenhoch:

First dib dobs on those forks when you sell them in a couple of months though  :daumenhoch:
I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips,
Straining upon the start. The game's afoot:
Follow your spirit, and upon this charge
Cry 'God for Harry, England, and Saint George!'
