Help required please chaps again

As some of you know i won a Hutch on the bay, i've now collected it and part's wise it's a right old miss match of bits.

I'm 100% sure the frame is what was posted on here but the Forks just don't look like there Hutch forks, the drop outs are different as to what we have in the museum here.

The seller said they were the original forks that came with the bike but i'm not so sure.

Other than the drop outs they have a thin flat front and a thin flat rear to them whilst the sides are curved if you know what i mean. Piccys below....

The frame is definitely a Hutch but it doesn't seem to have a serial number that i can see, i've read somewhere, cant find it now that an 83 Junior never came with a serial number. Would this be true.

The lack of a plate nears the bottom bracket was investigated by snav 69,

which proved it to be a Hutch Junior. There seems to be only one in the BMX Museum web site, so is this a rare bike then

A nice set of chrome Araya wheels aswell, slight markings that just need a polish but no buckles or dents at all.

Also it has an Aero saddle, did anyone produce a copy of this and actually put Aero on it. How can i prove if this is an original one.

They have flat fronts and rears if that's any help, photo's don't really show it. $:-\$

Upon first glance they don't look to be Hutch forks .

Check the tube hidden in the headtube (steerer tube?), it'd have tange stamped there if they are.

Yeah Forks could be Tange take them out if they are on the steerer tube it will probably say Tange 1B, 1C or 1G if not then I aggree they probably are Akisu Forks.

Proper Tange forks (usually) have four holes - a little hole at the top of the dropout graduating to a much bigger one at the bottom. I've got some Akisu ones here and they have three holes that start small and get gradually bigger but the fourth hole is another small one - just like the ones in the pic.

Also these Akisu ones have tacked on end caps with a hole in the centre - I'm sure tange end caps are welded properly with no hole - I reckon they're Akisu, too...

Tange forks are finished better on the fork caps, not tacked like they appear to be.

Akisu very probably.

wow. i got something right.

but he said "flat fronts and backs" not sure about that.

the end cap and drop out look just like Akisu ones. not bad though, just not Tange, or Hutch.

There sort of oval rather than round, curced sides and the front and rear are flat. It's hard to get a good photo of them to show you what i mean.

Sadly though, at the end of the day there not Hutch, what am i supposed to do with this frame now, are Hutch forks hard to get hold of

them's akisu full cro-mo forks for sure. not shit forks by any means, just more hi-tec rather than adidas.

I think it's a very nice looking bike but if you're not happy with it, you could split it and sell the bits on ebay - you would easily double your original investment, and then some...

The forks look the same as my Falcon Pro Theta BITD which was a Generic Akisu clone.

Good forks until I went head-on into car.

Not so good afterwards though!!!

My Hutch has the same forks.. JT racing told me they were a factory option.

i think the overuse of the word factory is abundant in that last statement. they were a basement option. as in that's what i've got for you cheap as chips in my basement kind of thing. allthough the last hutch's made did come out of that taiwaneese factory. some were even gold plated

That's quite interesting Mr Leary as the person that sold me the Hutch said that they were the original forks it came with.

It never came originally as a made up bike, it was bought as a frame and forks and the bits were added to it. One of the stickers on the frame, a small rectangle one says 4130 chromoly and Made in the USA on it. Not a Taiwan one then.
