Weeksy, answers are there :http://www.profileracing.com/news_full.php?id=594I would add a 2.5 generation (the later Alex ones) His earlier cranks are Gen 2, the ones reissued this summer.Yes, who am I to correct the guys at Profile ??
Profile do. They even said that their "Gen 1" were the same as the hutch cranks.
Gen 2 I think (or Gen 1 if you only count non sticker indent as Hutch ones, like some people seem to).I think I read that they are making the new ones using the actual tooling, using the same stock thickness sheet, and in the exact same way. Pretty cool really.http://www.profileracing.com/news_full.php?id=690"The cranksets will be made on our original 1979 tooling."

The square boxy ones were 80-81 they say not 79.
