Personally, I can't see 50+ happening for at least another 10 years in the UK.  We're not even getting 2 full gates of 40+ at the moment.

I think having a 45+ class in 3 or 4 years is more realistic.

Ark at Jeff, sounds like he is a spring chicken :2funny:

I think BCF will have to look at another class to accommodate the rise in us old timers on the gate :daumenhoch:
A long time ago, in a land far away!

I'd agree if the numbers were there to support it Ratty.  But we only had 12 at Chessy on Sunday, and I think Phil and Billy are the oldest at 43-ish.

I can only think of 3 riders who would race 50+ at nationals - Billy Fieldhouse, Brian Dayson and Paul Cadwallader.

To be honest Steve, I didn't even realise you were over 50.

And Phil, you're right, you don't look 44  :daumenhoch:

I reckon there will be enough for 45+ in maybe 3 years time.

So are you saying have a 30-39 cruiser, 40-45, then a 45+? I can't see that happeneing. ???

I think there will be a 50+ in a few years time, if there's enough interest, and probably a 40+ 20" as well.

I can think of a couple of other riders who might come back to racing at nationals if there was a 50+, Pete Jackson and Pete Taylor.

May as well go the whole hog and bring back age groups for each year. I might stand a chance of winning something that way.  ::)
