Skyway Tuff 2 issues...........

I recently bought some Tuffs for my Robinson Pro but when I tried fitting the front wheel there was too much gap between the hub and forks?  Any ideas, do I just pack it with washers?

how much of a gap are you talking?  any pics?...

Yep, you can pack it out with washers or just leave it but that then puts the forks under a fair bit of stress.  My TX1200 forks need about four washers a side to pack them out  .

I'm guessing there is 5 to 8mm either side, washers it is then

I would try & find some spacers or fat washers, i would have thought the less washers filling the gap the better? just my opinion

Interesting, why do you think that?  Once the wheel is tightened they won't be moving about so long as they are the right size.

i used some thinner cone lock nuts

I just robbed a pair of the hub nut thingys of another set of wheels, they are the same thickness but the wheel sits off centre!?  I'm tempted to take them off and just tighten the forks up!!

Interesting, why do you think that?  Once the wheel is tightened they won't be moving about so long as they are the right size.

to be honest i don't know    just seems logical, if you can have one thick washer each side to fill the whole gaps wouldn't that be better than three or four each side that you'd have to get in place when you fit the wheel?
