CLUB SERIES'

Hersden

We are pleased to announce Hersden's race dates for 2008. This will be our fourth year of running our series, with 2007 being our best yet.

Round one Sunday 6th APRIL
Round two Sunday 18th MAY
Round three Sunday 8th JUNE
Round four Sunday 13th JULY
Round five Sunday 10th AUGUST
Round six Sunday 14th SEPTEMBER

Best five out of six rounds count towards the final sereis standings

Race entry fees OLD SKOOL SOUTH REGION SERIES ROUNDS (date tba) £7
OLD SKOOL HERSDEN ONLY SERIES RACES £5
ALL OTHER CLASSES £3

Well here is what you have all been waiting for, Preston Pirates will be starting our Summer Evenings gate practice on Tuesday 1st April, times yet to be confirmed, but please check our website for the updates. http://WWW.PRESTONPIRATESBMXCLUB.COM.

Our Summer series race dates are as follows

Round 1 : Tuesday 6th May
Round 2 : Tuesday 27th May
Round 3 : Tuesday 17th June
Round 4 : Tuesday 22nd July
Round 5 : Tuesday 19th August
Round 6 : Tuesday 9th September.

Plus don't forget our final club race this sunday, registration 10am till 11.30am, come down and get some practice in ready for the 1st 2 rounds of the national at Burnham on Sea.

Summer Regional race dates.

The following dates have been confirmed for this year.

March 16th -Round 1 -Bulwell
April 6th -Round 2 -Rotherham
May 11th - Round 3 -Mansfield (Midlands leg of inter regional with E.A)
June 1st - Round 4 -Chesterfield
June 15th - Round 5 -Peterborough (East Anglia leg of inter regional )
July 6th - Round 6 -Rotherham
July 20th - Round 7 -Sheffield
August 3rd -Round 8 -Harworth (last round of 2008 Summer series)
September 7th - Harworth - MIDLANDS Champs

*Please Note the inter regional on June 15th this race IS A BRITS & REGIONAL TROPHY qualifying round for the Midlands.

Gate practise 11.00 - 12.00
Estimate start time 12.30 - 1.00

2008/2009 Autumn/Summer series.

September 28th -Round 1 - Mansfield
October 19th - Round 2 - Bulwell

The 2009 summer series will start in the Autumn of 2008 with 2 races followed by a estimated 7-8 races beginning in the spring of 2009, there will be no regional rounds over the winter months November to February. With us not now running a winter series the region is looking to extend the amount of races within the summer series,
So these 2 races are Brits & regional Trophy qualifying rounds for 2009. They will be raced at your 2009 race age & not your 2008 race age.

Regional / Brits qualification.

There our 8 rounds this year including the Peterborough inter Regional which will count towards the Brits & regional qualification.
4 rounds from 8 to qualify for the Brits.
Best 6 rounds from 8 to qualify for your regional trophy
Best 6 rounds from 8 to give your regional ranking for the brits.

East Anglia Regionals

Spring Classic - 6th April - Royston

Regional Summer Series
Round 1 - 20th April - Milton Keynes
Round 2 - 11th May - Mansfield (Midlands/EA inter-regional)
Round 3 - 25th May - Braintree
Round 4 - 15th June - Peterborough (EA/Midlands inter-regional)
Round 5 - 22nd June - Hayes (South/EA inter-regional)
Round 6 - 6th July - Milton Keynes (EA/South inter-regional)
Round 7 - 13th July - Royston
Round 8 - 20th July - Ipswich
Round 9 - 3rd August - Norwich
Round 10 - 10th August - Peterborough

EA Club Championships - 21st September - Ipswich


Any of the 10 rounds in the summer series can count towards your British Championships qualification and your series ranking. You must do at least 5 rounds to qualify for the Brits, and at least 6 rounds to get an end-of-series trophy. Your series ranking is based on your best 6 results.

More details (eg confirmation of registration/start times, race fees etc) will appear on the East Anglia website (http://www.bmxeast.com) in the near future.
