Baby blue Ripper
« on: January 04, 2006, 10:41 PM »
Nearly finished. Just waiting for a NOS black Shotgun II to land, and get a chain put on, and it's done.

'82 looptail Ripper/ Landing Gear forks
Baby blue Tuff IIs
NOS Tioga Comp IIIs
Cook Bros cranks/chainring
Hutch Beartrap pedals
Hutch Western stem
SE wing bars
NOS Dia Comp MX1000 brakes/ DX levers, with unknown, but adapted NOS baby blue cables + b/blue Skyway Tuff pads
NOS A'me Tri grips
NOS Tuf-Neck seat post clamp, sprayed b/blue
NOS Repro padset
Ally seatpost unknown
Shotgun II seat (when it turns up !)

I've really enjoyed building this bike. Made better by the fairly unusual colour scheme, making it a bit more of a challenge. Not too much baby blue stuff about.

I do have a baby blue Dominator seat, but it's the wrong shade, too dark. I'm gonna try and bleach it, but I think that might be just a bit too much on the bike. I'll try it and see.

Hope you like

Cheers

Guy

Cheers fellers. Glad you like it  :santa_afro:

The cables came off U.S ebay. They were originally for a race bike (drop handlebar type)

I think you're right about the seat post Sawsall, cos Oldsky told me he had one the same, and that's where his came from. I bought it from a member here, along with some other bits, but as usual I can't remember who :uglystupid2: It does the job anyway, so it stays until I find something better  :)

Still no sign of the Shotgun. New pics when it arrives.

Thanks again

Guy  :)

Great colour scheme. Are those Tuffs the new ones that are selling on ebay at the moment? They look mint. I've just scored a red set for my Quad.

Yeah, they are newies. They're good, just hard to get into the dropouts, with 14mm axles.
