NOS Skyway pads. What's the craic?
« on: June 02, 2008, 06:16 PM »
A really dumb question but I'm gonna ask it, anyway...

I'm trying to find some NOS cali lite or Skyway design pads, not fussed - either is cool.

Frame and Bar pads aren't the easiest of things to find but there is any amount of Skyway stem pads for sale.  Ginny is doing them for $5 and Colored Tuffs also do them nice and cheap.  The question is...

How come nobody has any bar or frame pads when there seems to be an endless supply of stem pads???

About 5 years ago you couldn't get them for love nor money, i paid £60 for a NOS cal-lite set and about 6 months later Tefore's all came up and were selling for less than a tenner. All gone now though and i 'spect a NOS set of cal-lites will set you back more than £60  ???

Thanks for the 'heads up'

The red and black ones were for the later T/A 280 and 300 models, I think :daumenhoch:

ha! dude thats my gaybay store.. i got heap of these in 2001. had them away in storage for ages at my nans place while i travelled the world.

you know that i sold a couple of sets of these on ebay in 2002 for about $20 a set. they were all 1 cent no reserve.. but people wouldnt pay anymore than $20 for them - bizarre!!

glad everyone has decided to get back in to bmx or decided to use ebay to buy them or whatever.. it has bumped the price up quite a bit   :)

still got a few left..  and yes i have way more stem pads than anything.. i have 10:1 complete set ratio happening..

cheers,
Xavier
