Has anyone tried the Michelin Mambo tyre designed specifically for BMX racing?? My son has just bought a 20x1.75" version and I have to say it seems to be very grippy with a wraparound tread pattern and appears very wide considering its size. He paid £6.99 inc. p&p which seems a pretty good deal for a tyre but if it doesn't work then it'll no doubt be consigned to the trailer as a future spare. Anyone got any experience of these?? Humps

They look quite good don't they. It's nice to have another option out there.

I'm a Michelin stockist so I'll see if we can get some in.

They look good for dirt, but how about on the tarmac berms ?

I've been using Mambos on dirt jumps for years, they're THE top tyre when it's wet and muddy they never let go

However the little nobbies are very tall and do flex about on tarmac. Have you looked at Schwalbe Mow Joes they look like a good tyre, larger knobs aren't gonna flex around so much .

Folding Moejoes are the nuts, same weight as KHE folders

Hi Allan, I've got Michelins on Joshua's cruiser, but not that type. I am very impressed with them.

They seemed very light to me as well

Although I have found They don't like being pumped up really hard, they blow off of the rim. Could be somethimg to do with the rim not being that round anymore though
