MONGOOSE? HELP/ADVICE

 :) I`ve been offered what is allegedly a MK1 Supergoose frame,but I have some doubts.Firstly the welds are crap,and also has chainguard mounts and a hole drilled through the chainstay gusset.It is in a poor overall condition -handpainted black & no stickers/serial no are visible.Would I be right to assume this is more likely to be a Viceroy or similar'sorry for lack of pics...

hmmmmm sounds well dodgy to me mate.....i'm no expert but don't remember seing any with chain guard mounts?  have a look in the museum to see what those are like?

pretty sure mongoose didn't fit chain guard tabs to supers
(or any 20" bike they built back then)
