Beckham visits Stephen Murray
« on: May 27, 2008, 08:04 PM »
Read in the paper today that Beckham went to visit Stephen Murray in hospital.

Apparently he saw some footage of his crash and thought he would go and visit him.

Mr Becks has just gone up in my estimations  :daumenhoch:

Didnt Beckham phone Stephen up a while ago.
Stephen told him to f-off cos he thought it was one of his mates messin around.

(I could have got this wrong, it might have been another footballer?)

Bollox....knowing Beckham there will have been more self promotional reasons to have done it than any other Jim. I'm sure he wanted to keep his visit secret....no no, honest he did, really he did!

I bet his PR agent fooking loved it, if there was no level of self promotion why was it in the paper. The vast majority of the U.S. don't know who he is anyway so he could have quite easily walked in and know one would have been none-the-wiser.

If he cares that much he should pay his medical bills, two weeks wages should cover it.

Daz.

If it was in the Metro that means it was in a Daily 2 days previously....god I'm in a cynical mood tonight!  ::)

get off his case - end of , stephen gets a well needed donation and a boost from meeting him.   whats wrong with that

the bloke gets followed everywhere so its doesnt mean that he had his PR leak it - if it gains promotion for Stephen's plight then all is good.

Becks probably did it because he wanted too. How many other things could he do to self publisise?? Not being funny to Steve Murray is hardly a world famous sportsman, maybe well known in extreme sports, but ask anyone who isnt into BMX they wouldnt have a clue. So come on guys, give him a break :daumenhoch:

from what i read idon't think he went to see him but he phoned him at the hospital in baltimore and waited on hold for 40 minutes to speak to murray! personally i think fair play to the bloke, don't like his wife but for charity work he's a great ambassador, which will probably what gets him knighted eventually!

Its an old story reused to fill a blank space in the newspaper.

They do it all the time.

DB is good lad and if Stephen got a kick out of it then its a good thing!!!

DB is far nicer bloke than most of the footballers these days!!  :daumenhoch:
