Not sure what these bars are?
« on: May 20, 2008, 05:18 PM »
Wondered if anyone more clued up than me could identify these bars please?

They have some stamping on the right hand grip side - it's either a 'M' or 'W' depending on which way you look at it - I've done my best to show this on the second shot...

They do don't they? I thought they were Haro to begin with , but I compared them with some Haro Kneesavers I had kicking about and there are some differences, the biggest being that the top of the bars either side kind of bulge meaning that your brake lever can only slide so far on. The other differences are that the bars flare slightly as they come down to the bottom. Finally there is hole either side of the bottom lateral tube...

...the mystery continues I guess...the rune stamped into the tubing must mean something  ???

ya know, i had bars like that in 1999, on a GT Vertigo... always thought they were Haro bars
which back then did have the oversized tubing upto the lever position....

was told they were Haro copies.... but i cant remember the company ??

mine had holes at each end of the stem tube.....

I think it was Rad member Obbie who knew what they were??

yours really do look like 1999 Haro Kneesavers though.....

wot du reckon?

They will be copy's , i have 2 pair of the Knee saver witch are over sized appart from were your levers and grips go , the mane way to tell if they are true haro is the shevrons stamped at the ends of the stem tube , if they have holes , then they are copys .

KHE did bars a wee bit like that, called Fat Bob's or something.

Will see is I can find a pic, although the "W" is a puzzle...
