One small step for most.... one giant leap for Trev
« on: May 16, 2008, 12:06 AM »
Ok, I thought this was week I lost my b*llocks.... Not really an excuse, but I still have a lot of neck pains from my slam at Corby a few weeks ago. These are normally little twinges that end up in full pain by the time I get home. Also I'm off on my hols in less than two weeks, so slightly paranoid about getting any sort of injury.

Well I've got peg stalls pretty much sussed. Can pull them practically everytime now. So the next step for me was to do it on the Charlton Spine. Superfly & TwoBob have been telling me to try them for ages. But I never had them sussed enough to brave it on the spine. Anyway, last night on the platform side, I was pulling them perfect every time. But every time I tried it on the spine, I bottled it. Every single blooming time...  :tickedoff:

Tonight at Skaterham, there's another trick I always bottle. I've managed to pop out on the vert ramp a few times now, but always bottle dropping back in and end up sliding my bike down followed by myself. Paul Meacher has been trying to get me to do this for weeks now. Tonight he said he was sure I was gonna do it. After bottling it so many times tonight, I finally did it. Nothing spectactular. Didn't ride in or peg in. Just a basic drop in starting with one foot on the platform and easing myself in. Like I say, nothing spectacular, but a big step forward for me. So many thanks Paul for helping me get past one of my stumbling blocks.

cheers guys. it was only a simple thing, but if you've seen how much time i've spent stuck on that platform you'll know how much it means to me.
it's really stupid when you see how easily everyone else does it and i'm still stuck up there ;D

That's another one that's been bugging me for ages too.. I'm hoping if i can peg the spine, by actually being up there might ease a few nerves.

It's only 11ft, so not exactly the heights of Creation or Corby but still high enough for me to have bottled it for so long.

11ft is high enough to fall on your head from. add the height of you standing on it and that makes a fair old drop.

Yeah. That's the one. I've been doing them for a while now, but they were hit and miss as to whether I'll pull them each time.
Last Wednesday at Charlton I got them completely sussed so that I could pull them almost every time. So at Creation that's pretty much all I did... So I was hoping to peg stall the spine this week, but I bottled it every time.
