Are new school chain rings anodised?
« on: May 13, 2008, 02:09 PM »
just got (already attached to the cranks I got from Stevie B..thanks dude) a Colony 28t chain ring. it is sweet, but it's pink. Will this be anodised and strip off with oven pride like old school stuff does?

edit: as this is the new school section I probably meant "sprocket"  :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol:

don't do it Joe!  i have one in the same colour and it's superb!  just leave it the way it is as a splash of colour is good  :daumenhoch:

got a gold one coming but still undecided...the pink one's a 28t so too small for a 13t freewheel.

okay dude, as soon as I get a crank puller to get the cranks off, think it has one dinged tooth, but don't make much difference.

however, that said, I've put in the other thread that this might become my bike in which case it'll have an Ody cassette rear so then the 28t pink might stay, I'm all a bit undecided.

grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.  I don't know what to do...
