Good shout on Jamie Morley, top bloke, very smooth. Spoke with him not so long ago, recovering well still, but will never ride any bike properly again  :(

Im sure there was never anyone as smooth as Blyther, last time I spoke with him he said Bestwick was the smoothest rider EVER! Thats quite a compliment!

i am still in contact with jamie morley and i will concur his flatland was very simular to that of scotty freeman very smooth and effortless

Saw Glynn Lewis at Gillingham in the early 80's and have to say he was seriously smooth and getting 8ft + air

UK Overall for me Camps was the smoothest by far.

USA Fiola was the man :daumenhoch:

UK - the boy Lunn - no doubt...

...but then there was this bloke we met at ROM once in '84 no idea what his name was - came from Canvey Island, had a Skyway - did the smoothest 7' airs I ever saw in the P Bowl - screwed/boned every second air he did but pulled every first one perfectly! - anyone remember him?

US - Bestwick

Defo Dennis McCoy for flatland and Brian Blyther on ramps, Blyther was like frickin glass, i have never ever seen anyone else who comes anywhere close to being as smooth as he was.

Carlo Griggs is/was smoother than a Gillette Mac 4 or 5 6 or when they bring it out a 7!!!

End of thread me thinks.

Yep, Carlo is as smooth as you can get.  You may come across riders who are as smooth, but not smoother.
As far as smoothness goes, you can't get better than perfection itself.  :4_17_5:

'cos he may be from Derby but I doubt he has set foot in Blighty for years... whatever, we was remarkably smooth when I saw him - landed everything no more than 6 inches below the coping

No im pretty sure Jamie gets over here fairly regularly, sure I read a post recently which refered to someone bumping into him and his family whilst shopping in the UK ??? Plus he does a good job hanging onto his accent whilst making the most sarcastic/ironic comments when commentating on the Dew tour comps. Most entertaining
