Not sure if anyone else has seen these but i started a "where are they now" thread over on bmx museum and a guy posted some recent pictures of Blyther, fiola, itson and hugo gonzalez riding fairly recently, looks pretty cool, think the guy said its santa monica skate park

I herd dominguez was riding again and working for Hoffman , doing something to do with an old school rider series or something.

Don't quote me to it tho , was a year or so i herd or read some were , anyone else herd anything like ? $:-\$

I spoke to Dominguez at Blythers birthday party, he didn't have a bike YET, and so far attempts to get him to a skatepark for a session haven't been successful. I am positive he will be back in the saddle soon.

GOT TO get MD back on a bike!!

I'm sure some bike manufacturer would GIVE him a bike if they knew he was thinking of getting back into it! Think of the PR they would get from it, it would be a genius stroke for them. Get Carlo to send him a 'Proper' one over, surely they'd do a editorial in Ride magazine and it'd be great advertising for them.

I also think it's about time there was an "Old School Vert/Freestyle Series". They do it in almost every other sport, including BMX racing so why not BMX Freestyle too?

I'm sure there would be enough interest...wouldn't there? Just not sure how you'd qualify that's all as DMC with his age would qualify but he'd probably walk away with everything because he's never stopped riding.

One to think about I think.

Great pics by the way....loving the Hugo Gonzales picture....proper old school stylee!! They must be reinforced Tuffs if he's riding them now.

This would be a great scenario, a veterans old school comp circuit, perhaps thats why they are all back in the saddle

Hey, that's actually Hugo's brother Oscar on the mini. That's Oscar's backyard ramp. I was there that day. It was a crackup getting him back in the leathers again. Last time I saw Hugo ride it was still classic. It was on that ramp. He hadn't ridden in a long time and put together a ninja drop off a 6 foot ladder into the 6 foot mini!

Well, yes, i was still riding in the early to mid 90's and was very much still on the scene...

and i did hear back then that Blyther had stopped riding... to become a police man, maybe he'd just stopped riding the contests back then??

It'd be Great to think all the Great riders i looked up to BITD have still continued to ride...

Woody Itson did stop riding in the early 90's, and up until 'apparently' few years back
he was only ever riding once in a while...

I think Eddie Fiola continued to do show's, wether that was for GT or not i dont know?

Also Mike Domingeuz was due to ride again back in 1999/ 2000... love to see him riding contests again!!

I believe Fiola did circus type shows on BMX, There's a mid school vid (cant remember which one) with a bit of a dominguez interview he's riding his backyard ramp after a heavy session the night before, he got into a fight and had black eyes.

Anyone know which vid this is? i did own it but not a clue where it is where it is?

Yep...I'll second that Dave as I heard that too. But as you say he could have just stopped riding comps/shows etc.

Either way it's still cool to see em riding again and having the same passion that we all have for the sport. It's also well documented that I'm a big admirer of MD and to see him riding again would make my year. Some body give him a bike to ride FFS!

Always love to see that fakie pic of Dominguez - that's just insane for a fakie! And he used to do it with a freewheel too

Lets get up a petition to get him back on a bike.
