My Motomag finally done
« on: May 03, 2008, 08:40 PM »
This one has taken a while to get all the bits I needed. As close to original spec as I could get, the 1980 catalogue has the chrome bars, crank etc, just the tuf's, but I understand that some dealers sold with these rather than the MMII's.

Still not sure whether to run it with motomags that I have or not, but quite hp with it as is

1980 frame was the starting point, touch of the Don's good work and we were away :daumenhoch:

Nos forks, tuf 1's, tyres, grips, seat post, pedals and chain, the rest are used parts.

In time for the May competition ;)

Lush, very lush  :smitten:

Little tip Paul, on the coaster bracket to prevent it from scratching the frame put some wiring heatshrink over it and heat it up so it's nice and tight - no more scratches  :daumenhoch:.  That's what I did on my Scorpion  ;D.

Thanks lads,

The forks were from Alan's. The frame was the starting point a tired seat stay - chain rubbed 25 quids worth from US ebay!!

The bracket for the coaster does have a rubber adhesive stuck on the inside of the bracket ;)

I know what is next, just need to get the Don to work on some forks and I'm good to go again.
