My new Rider!
« on: April 27, 2008, 04:48 PM »
After lumping round my Haro F5 for the last 12 months I've decided to get a Proper (play on words, hey hey) rider now.

Don't get me wrong, the F5 has served it's purpose and it wasn't a bad bike really. Strong, decent geometry etc. etc. but fook me it was HEAVY! Damn heavy!

It was that bad when I stripped it down the frame, forks and cranks weigh nearly as much as my whole bike does now.

Proper Proclaimer - man I love this bike, it's fooking superb!!!

I'll be changing a few bits soon but essentially it'll stay the same for now and then it's gonna get a new powdering later this year.

Yeah...I could do with a gold stem and one that's a tiny bit shorter too.

Very nice Daz, I hope it rides as nice as it looks for ya  :daumenhoch:

The only thing I`d point out is that the brake lugs are on the seat stays so that you can run smaller chain rings  :LolLolLolLol:
I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips,
Straining upon the start. The game's afoot:
Follow your spirit, and upon this charge
Cry 'God for Harry, England, and Saint George!'

Cheers Billy...thanks to you as well for getting to me so quick...you're a top fella!

I like my chain rings big anyway - it's a fashion thing  ;)
