Is this a recent version or the old version from a couple of years ago?

Componentary could be better  :-X.

I'd have a frame/fork set and build up with my own choice of bits

Are they ever go into production?

to sell its got to have the same geometry as the original, with 2008 build quality and strenth, i.e. its got to look the same, as its only us old gimps that are gonna buy it

Joe.....many would argue that if you took the decals off every NS frame they'd all look the same.

I don't mind it.....think it looks kinda cool, if you take it for what it is which is a retro re make then i like it  :daumenhoch:

mmmmm Me likey,
But i hope they do it in 100% 4130 cromo not like the Sport. I think this bike would sell if the price was right and the components were correct.......

I mean F.F.S if your going to make a replica of the bike that started it all put replica parts on to, Vector bars, Correct seat (Not the sofa that is shown) I like the addition of 990 lugs etc.

I might even buy one just for sentimental value, if they ever release one.

Can't see the point myself sorry, you might aswell just save up and get an original Gen 1. This is just some newschool bike that kinda resembles a Gen 1 in some way ish.

Just my opinion but what's the point of it?

but isn't that the point of the thing?  it's not a GEN1 it's a new bike that looks like one (in some way) i'm sure the bike will sell for about £250?  with Tuffs maybe?

fook me an original GEN1? what do they go for now?

Well Rob we all see the one on the bay, went for nearly a grand!  :4_17_5:

I think personally i'd have one of these and then strip the damn thing and turn it into a mini replica of the original but its all down to cost. Wouldn't surprise me if this starts at £250 with basic components and then goes up from there. Shame that they didn't do a closer more accurate replica of the original bike though with a modern twist  :(

I know what your saying I just can't see the point of retro looking bikes or reissuing new versions of oldschool bikes like that Mongoose a few years ago what a waste of time that was you could have bought a real one for that money.

Just my thoughts that's all. And why would anyone want to pay £980 for a Gen 1 Frame and Forks anyway. The phrase a fool and his money are easily parted comes to mind. Well done to the seller though ;)

Now hit me with the abuse :knuppel2:

Seeing how much things are going for recently i.e. hutch grips for $700+, I'd certainly have an original Gen 1 frame for £980 over any stupid grips any day. I guess it's down to preference really. £980 was a good price for a good cause and the new owner of the Gen 1 will feel priverliged (I hope) as there isn't many of them around on this planet and his now the owner of one....  :)

you couldnt leave an original one outside, or even pedal it around a skate park now, because if it breaks or goes missing you would never get it replaced. This new one, like my retro quad, you could take it to the park and not care so much, and have the confidence that the chances are it would never break.

Out of all the retros I actually dont like this one.  You know there's some bikes where the mould was broken when they made it.  The SE Rippers were a good aproximation of the original and look good, but this well I just think if you stood it next to a proper Gen1 it would just become so obvious that its a complete turd, not even a shadow of the original item...

It just aint good enough...much in the same way as a chopper Mk3 is a sad pile of shit.

I think when Haro released this 2004 Master, it is a bike worth having, it looked good & rode pretty well  :)

Here was the one I had.......

But I think there just trying to flog a dead horse with this one  :(

I think the one Chip from C4 made looked a lot better, does anyone remember it, it was like a Green 85 Master  ???
