Been riding today.
« on: April 27, 2008, 02:57 PM »
yep, first time on my BMX today round a track since i rearranged my shoulder 3 months ago. Took it very slowly as my ligaments are still healing around my dislocation. I had no problems with my shoulder or collarbone, just a few slight twinges around the neck where the dislocation is.

I wore body armour this time (cheers Miles) which never hindered my 2mph at all. It actually felt really comfortable.  Spent about an hour and a half there before the weather turned really foul, wasn't prepared to ride in that with my track record.

I've lost so much confidence it's embarrassing. Jumps i should be doing i just wheelied through. Obviously i need to take one step a time but i didn't think that when i was on the start hill i would have flashbacks of February.
My confidence will start to come back as soon as i ride a bit more but i'm glad i went today, i'm hoping it's done some good.
Easier to talk about it, much harder to actually do it.

Will probably feel some slight discomfort tomorrow though. Looking forward to next time, Bournemouth i think next stop.

One build a year, the only way to get it right. No rushing involved.
