ebay item
« on: April 27, 2008, 04:00 PM »
Just bought this number plate... paid too much eh...  ::)

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130216226095&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fsearch.ebay.co.uk%3A80%2Fsearch%2Fsearch.dll%3Ffrom%3DR40%26_trksid%3Dm37%26satitle%3D130216226095%2509%26fvi%3D1

Was just under my max bid, thought I would have got it cheap as it was sitting at 99p all the way through... but I wanted enough due to the colour scheme.

anyways, How am I meant to know that bidder 1 isn't a shill bid for example ??

Not implying anythin against this seller, but why have ebay done this silly secretive bid system ??

cheers
O

I guess could be suspect or not, but how am I meant to know ??

perhaps ebay were getting so many complaints about possible shill bidders... they'd protect the dodgy sellers & evade the grief from loyal and innocent bidders contacting them ???

the higher the bids, the more money they get in their back pocket through fees & paypal. All in their favour isn't it.  :-\

The were numerous times by doing a little detective work you could easily spot the dodgy bids, but not anymore.

ebay sucks O , but i use it now to sell my 1000's of old toy cars, its going ok, i was selling on a site, but people wanted to trade etc, and plus i was doing deals for them, so i was losing out, i dont like ebay, but its got a big circle of bidders,  :)

I know what you're saying zed... it's an interesting place for sure, I don't usually have an issue with ebay, & it seems to get a lot of stick.

I just don't like the fact of not knowing whether I'm being done over cash wise or not... total guessing game... you would never put up with that else where in life.

It's all paid for anyways so I should probably just forget about it, just seems like a bit of corrupt system to me.

Its plain and simple why they are not letting you see who the bidders are ???  ??? ??? ???

SO THEY CAN MAKE MORE MONEY  :knuppel2:

tHE WAY THEY LOOK AT IT IS IF YOU WHERE WILLING TO MAX BID THAT THEN YOU MUST HAVE BEEN WILLING TO PAY THAT FOR the item, MEANING THEY MAKE MORE MONEY ON THE COMMISSION

So they could'nt give a sh!t about shill bidding coz at the end of the day they make more money

You can still report shill bidding though oWEN IF YOU THINK YOU HAVE BEEN HAD ;)

fooking caps ;D
