At peace with my elf pro (At last)
« on: April 27, 2008, 12:44 PM »
ive built and re built this bike but never really managed to get it looking how i wanted it as the frame never looked quite as sexy as my XL double cross due to being shorter, any way fooked about trying to create an illusion of it being longer than it is (then i concentrated on the elf  ;D) adjusted gearing 41/15 to make the frame look bigger and slimmer wheels and sleeker seat clamp and sexier headlock n seat have got it lookin how it should IMO. This is also the best riding bike ive ever ever ridden, the elf xl feels like a bag o'shite compared to this, so if ye fancy one for riding go for the pro.

Elf pro f/f
Boss pro bars / ame zygo grips
GT Pro stem
Pitbull ll brake set up
Selle turbomatic seat
Elf zip post
JP 41t chain ring
GT 180 profiles
Crupi squares (need polishing)
PMC seat clamp
pmc/tange hybrid headlock
araya RB-17 rims on Gen 1 PMC hubs/Primo dirt monster tyres

one of my first attempts

and the finished article

love them, unbelievably smooth, was a bit dubious when i won them as i got the full wheels for $7  :daumenhoch: shipping was $30 something, likkle flat spot on rear rim but run true as fook, wasn't sure about spoke set up on the front wheel but they feel really stiff.

Looks good Jones, are you going to use it then?

it rides much better than anything else ive got but the TNT will get an outing this week, so i'll see how it goes
