From a noob point of view

I joined this site in december and was absoloutly amazed at the place. I got a very warm welcome and a ton of great advice from various people. If it wer'nt for this site i would have never found my long buried childhood. I used to love my BMX and have been alot happier since i rekindled my old memories and experiences. I have met loads of genuine nice people on here and even some from BITD that i would have never expected to hear from again. OK i have had some pi$$ taking and ripping but its all friendly banter and i have never taken offence to it. It makes it more fun which is what we all want at the end of the day for our own freetime.

For me this site is as perfect as it can be. There have been a few bad experiences along the way but on the whole i love it here. It seems to be run fair and considering it is only a 'hobby site' run by people in there free time and with little money i think it feels like 'corporate quality' web design.

It is the only forum i am an active member on and it is the only one i really want to be on to be honest. I love this ship and all who sail in her!!

I have to say as a NOOB I have found this place to be really welcoming. One or two people have been a bit tiresome, but that was via PM and you can block them so no probs. I haven't even noticed the moderators which I think means they are doing a brilliant job...

I dont give any credence to the dictorship argument - this works like a democracy, we are all here, if we didnt like the way things were going we would vote with our fingers and just not log on. The real measure of how good the "dictators" are is how big and popular the site is, I cannot see anything thats at fault, its a forum, we chat and sell/trade, is anyone getting bossed around? Not me. If bill orb and dave were power crazed nutters the they would lose the sucess of the site.

I'm happy to pay my £10 fee.
