Preston Track Location.

London Road Preston.  PR25AX

Its on a dual carriageway so its easier coming from the North going in a southerly direction.

I would suggest going straight to M6 Junction 31 rather then getting off at Junction 30 because you have quite a few Roundabouts to negotiate.

Trust me.  Its far easier from Junction 31.   

M6 Junction 31 turnoff towards preston on the A59/Preston New Rd
Total about Drive: 2.5 mi – about 5 mins

First :-
1. Head west on A59/Preston New Rd
Continue to follow A59
Go through 1 roundabout 1.9 mi

2. Turn left at A6/London Rd 0.4 mi

To: "Preston BMX Track"
A6/London Rd

Keep looking to the Left.   After some houses it will start going downhill it will open up and you will see a big gate (On the Left).  Thats the BMX Track Entrance

If you go past a pub at the bottom of the hill on the left then you have gone too far
 
They moved the football pitch and put the BMX Track at the top end.


Follow  the red squiggley road




Heres the track before it was built.   Notice the attention to details as I drew it in with crayon!!!!

Is there anyone who is going on Sunday that has a spare oldschool bike which my mate Kenny Scullion could borrow to race on?  He's buying a Haro RS1 frameset off jtsmooth but won't have it built up in time.  If anyone could oblige then we'd have 20 riders (at least!)

Kenny, is Jtsmooth bringing the rs1 to Preston?

If he is bringing it, what bits do you need?

It wont take long to build it up.

MADD DOGG built his at Coppull.

If you've got all the bits then we could get it built in 30 mins.

I've got BB/Headset cup press and a good range of tools etc, etc.

It's not brain surgery ya know!! 

I've got some spare handlebars with grips and a lever on it.

MADD DOGG has 2 Stems, a chain, a seatclamp, 2 x 1 pc cranks and some other stuff which he should be returning at Preston (If he hasn't decided to keep them).

I have a Haro Fusion 1 pc crank 180mm and a Odyssey sealed BB and some blue odyssey triple cage pedals ya can use too.

We'll be able to cobble something together that wont kill him on his landing over the 1st jump.

I'll be there around 10am and racing wont start till after 12 noon.

Get a parts list together and we'll see if its possible

Kenny wasn't planning on bringing any of his parts with him, but I'll say to him to bring as much as he has and we'll try to get it put together early on.

Put a Parts list up on here and we can see what he's missing.

Its a waste of time building it if we are missing any components on the day.

I've got plenty of spare stuff!!

And it wont take long to build!!
