Getting really fed up with someone on here who I bought something off (only £20 quids worth), and was told it would be posted over a week ago. Nothings arrived and the seller cant even be arsed to answer my pm's to let me know whats happening.

Not being funny, but I posted a frame/forks/bars set out on Saturday, along with various other bits over the last week, despite being 'busy'. When someone cant put a lightweight item in a small box or jiffy bag and pop it in the post despite saying they will is just lazy.

I feel like a right twat, but basically want what ive paid for. Doesnt help when the person selling has been online but chosen to ignore your messages.

Maybe its just me, but when someone sends me payment for something ive sold, I do my best to get in the post asap, or atleast let the person know if there will be a slight delay.

this should be the safest place to buy bits off

know the feeling dude. been waiting nearly 4 weeks now. People just dont get that we are a great community here and our word is our bone etc. If i sell somthing its in the post the next day or i will state in the advert it wont be posted till whenever.

If you are getting no joy from the person i think you should name & shame to stop it happening to others

I always send my stuff recorded delivery and the same day as the sale (if before post office closes) or the following day

waiting so long just aint cricket

Name & Shame them .. Thats what i'm going to start doing, Some on here believe it's acceptable to take someone's money and keep them waiting, i've had that happen a few times on here and 99% of the time i'd be prepaired to wait if they just said there would be a delay in posting.

Im gonna give the seller the benefit for now. But we'll see what happens. Its not the delay as such, its the ignoring of pm's that pisses me off the most.

If your too busy to get to the PO its one thing, but if your on here browsing, your not too busy to send a 2 minute pm.

2 weeks just isn't good enough! i don't expect to wait that long for ebay purchases!

fook me i've even sent things out before receiving payment sometimes!

it was me guys! i sold him the skyway banner but have had alot to do and it just slipped me mind to send. totally appoligised to 'danny' and it is all sorted out... in the post waiting for his skyway display, once again sorry danny

I also think people should let you know they've received the items you have sent them just out of courtesy.

I sent out 14 packages a few weeks ago, all recorded or special delivery, and only 5 people let me know they had the items.

Its just nice to know.

I let everone know when i get a purchase delivered

as the post office track and trace facility don't always work with recorded delivery

I'm glad it's dealt with but just while the topic's fresh I've always had this view on delays...Ignoring pm's is the rude part about sour deals especially if you've seen they've been online, but sometimes on here you've got to be realistic this is a hobby and not particuarly important and that most members on here are adults with busy lives, jobs and families. And the amount of post offices closing lately it can be an arse getting out of work to get to the nearest one on your dinner. I'm not that busy compared to some of you so not so bad for me but when I've had delays in the past from reputable members sometimes you've got to appreciate that they're stuck in work most of the time during post office hours. But fair play some people are cnuts....

how about some sort of rating system like

e bay/ bmx museum at least then you get a bit of a clue if they are going to f you around
