How about a seperate section for technical FAQ's ?
People are always asking the same questions in the Techie forum, like how to dye plastics, what length spokes, how to remove cranks/pedal, who does repro pads/decals etc. It's sometimes difficult to find totally relevant old posts.
You could lock the posts so they are just read only to save them getting daft replies, and it would then free up the Techie section. It would be easy then to just sift through all the FAQ's to find what you need. If it's not in there, post in the main area, then when it's been answered, move it to the FAQ forum ?
