I think it's coz headtube angles are steeper now and forks go straight instead of slight bend like BITD makes for a quicker response.

I used to have a set of chrome landing gear on my red trickstar and that was really steep maybe that's why i snapped my forks at the steerer tube  :LolLolLolLol: but it looked well rad.

i spy with my beady eye , an escort , thought id just say  ;D

i think the biggest improvement is the angles , but most new bikes are just like old race bikes now

The Raleigh Burner was directly responsible for keeping bmx a minority sport.
It was soooooo crap to ride and impossible to do any of the tricks and moves that the pros were doing.

There was a whole pack of Burner kids that hung around our ramps and for the life of them they couldn't do a damn thing until they got on one of our bikes.
But of course, mummy and daddy had already spent their hard earned cash on the Burner, so the poor buggers had no chance of getting a decent bike. "Why do you want a new one? You can't do anything on THAT one..."

Raleigh suck! I hate Burners! AAARRGGHHHH!
RANT!

G!
