right got some really shinny pro class wheels but not stoppin very good
does smearing cola work on metal rims like on tuffs ?
thought id ask first

damn thats old skool smearing shite on the rim  ;D stay away from the tar though , the pads will stick to the rim and itl howl like a sore dog  ;D

seek out softer pads i say

I had to laugh at this, we was all asking this question when we started back.

I use scott new school brake pads now and they stop a lot better than the old blocks, try any new school blocks on it and the longer ones seem to do the trick.
Cool stops were great but I managed to destroy an MX1000 when they got dragged into the wheel by the strength of the pads :shocked:

I got some Acor pads for mtb.Transparent and soft.Stop really well on new school black rims.Probably as good on anything. Squeal like a stuck pig tho'.

went over braintree 2day for couple of hours to try my new ride out
no problems i built it well
brake dont really work but ive got everyone in front of me at the finish line to crash into and help me stop  :daumenhoch:

best brakes i've found so far that are OS ok
are ACS Boa's and Pitbulls
