What time do I have to be a Bradford for signing in?

How much coinage will I need to enter the Race?

And are we paying some money towards Trophies/End of Year Pissup?

Russ, I'm dragging him along for the trip in case we get jumped by chavs!!!

Some of my mates might be coming to watch if the weather stays fine.

I think they're only coming to watch me make a fool of myself.

You never know.  If they enjoy they might give it a go.

If you don't mind me saying something, I would just like to say that the last meet at BRADford was truly wicked awesome!!  great bunch of lads, two gates and some great racing!!  a great laugh and better than sitting at home of a Sunday reading drivel in the Sunday papers and having your missus asking you to do DIY.

If you can make this meet, be there  (and all other northern meets) a lot of great guys, that to be honsest are the only reason I would chose to move back to the UK and pay copius amounts of tax!!! :daumenhoch:

Just been for an 8.5 mile ride on't BMX.

This time some off-road and some hills as well as the nice flat roads.

My bike started creaking and groaning after 1.5 mile.   I started groaning after 1 mile.

Couldn't find anything loose so I carried on.

I sat down for 5 minutes when I got home.   When I got up to go upstairs my legs had turned to jelly and I could barely walk.

My legs should be like tree trunks tomorrow!!!

I just wish this wasn't a sprint race.   I might be alright if it was longer distance and didn't have obstacles like jumps and berms.

I might pop over to Bradford on Friday afternoon to check the course out and see if my Haro is up to the challenge (weather permitting)

Hopefully my Haro hasn't snapped in two by then.

Somebody will have to have a look at it on Sunday.

It just doesn't sound right at all and I'm clueless.

I never did any maintenance as a kid, just rode it until it died.  Then I let my dad sort it out.

I like getting my hands dirty, i'll take a look if I am there early enough. Sure it wasn't your knees creeking? LOL. Have a check that your pedals are nice and tight and that there isn't any side to side movement in the cranks. Is the chain aligned nice and straight, i.e. is the front sprocket in line with the freewheel?

hi sandro good to hear you around again greg
have you checked the cranks are still tight and all your bearings etc are okay nothing loose as it was newly built when you got it i only rode it once so maybe it needs bit setting up after so much use ?

Just checked a few things now.

The rear hub had tightened up and wasn't loose enough.

The rear now spins easily.   But then again it did before my 8.5 mile ride.

I'll check a few more things when I get time.

Yep.   I thought I did that.

These aren't your wheels MotomagII.    I bought some wheels of HEYWOOD BMX because I wanted some Black one's.   The Rear didn't spin freely when it arrived so I loosened them up.  I must not have tightened the lock nut properly.   The wheels spun okay before the 8.5 mile ride.   They must have just tightened up while riding.

They probably added an extra mile of workout for my legs by not spinning freely.    No pain, no gain.
