If there's one ad that's iconic to me and a bike that I looked at longingly as a kid it's this one on the left. I should just build it and get it out of my system. But you can only see half of it. What's on the back end do you reckon?

Visible spec so far......
Skyway TA f&f
Skyway Cal-lite pads
Tuffs
CW's
Black / white Oakley B1B's
Black Tech III

I Can Help You. Look In The Middle Picture And That Bike Has The CW's And Black And White B1-B's But Its Got Differnet Coloured Tuffs. If You Can Reckognise The Seat On The T/A In The Middle You Should Buold The One On The Left  :daumenhoch:

i would hazard a guess
that the "street thrashin TA"

has a
1pc
shimmy DX or skyway pedals
straight post
kashi aero
DC seat clamp
blk mx1000
skyway brake pads
suntour stem
knarler knobbies

seems a pretty logical part spec for a "street thrashin TA"

i also used to check out this advert
but always wondered what was in the boys rucksack

elastic bands?????
sandals????
a split atom???
a half eaten big mac???
his school principals head???
2lbs of the best marijuana????
ronnie corbett????

it wasnt a rucksack, it was the new skyway seat belt ;)

I think Steve's got it right and has chosen pretty much what I guessed he had on there, just all the obvious stuff really for a spoilt fat kid.

I'll be putting  something in "Wanted" for a red polo shirt and white tennis short shorts, I'll look the bollocks at mk.

I'll put on black comp 3's, bit easier to find and some black and grey a'me duals. My hardcore days are over, not chucking $200 - $300 at some oakley's. Tuff Neck combo on the opc probably? Got some MX 1000's I can paint, pretty much got the rest of it.  If anyone's got CW's for me out there....

And I don't think it's a ruck sack , it's a parachute to slow down fatties momentum....

good topic,

i remember the ad well, think of doing just the same and building one up every time i see clean white tuffs on egay,

would look great as a mixture of the 3 bikes in the ad,

i'd have it with 400's and a white uni turbo, as would have picked these in 84 also, (or maybe a elina lightning bolt)

surprised we dont see more chrome and white builds.

 :D

I've got this XL that's got the chrome and white on the go but it's not satisfied my childhood dreams like that one. It was on the back cover of my first Action Bike, just remember being in a beer garden with my folks drooling Appletize all over it....

Finshed! Could do with some better pics, a longer reply and got Oakley .5's instead of B1B's but there you go. I'm off for my tea....

Oui, oui, they're skyway race bars on the xl nick, the xl's had a full makeover since then , I think it looked a bit over the top with too many skyway logo's, just lacked subtlety. Looks stacks better now imo, got spokes and more blue anno, I'll have to get a pic.

And thanks for the thumbs up chaps, always appreciated. Been a quick build this one just 5 weeks, compared to my trick star which I consider nearly finished and it's creeping up to 4 years. Had the f&f and a few bits, just got lucky with the shopping. I'll be keeping these 2 TA's, no more now though (just sold 2, 4 was silly), lovely bikes to do builds with they've got loads of scope and you can't go far wrong.

Be scouring ebay now for short shorts and a red polo just so you recognise me at mk, I'll be the one with the hairy nad popped out when my pedal's on the upstroke...
