you really cant beat the comp 3 tread
larger in the front can give more grip and confidence into turns and a smaller rear is less rolling resistance , also stops the steering being twitchy but back in the day they had matching fronts and rears mostly
if my knowledge of racing cars is correct having more pressure in the rear will mean itl lose grip first ( no one wants the front to slide out on them , its easier to control the rear stepping out ) , a slightly soft tyre will leave a bigger contact patch on the ground , dont go too soft though otherwise itl be squishy
