I'm no expert but the chainstay/bottom bracket bit looks like a "Proper"

Trev would know...or one of the many Proper owners on here.

pretty sure hamilton hasnt ridden for fit

ive ruled out fit as even though the gusset is similar the fit one covers more of the downtube , thats on the flows and seris 1s , the 2s had euro bottom brackets

its not a federal and neither are the forks ( there is too much dropout below the leg )

any idea on top tube size ?

or it could be a FIT, look at this one, it's not the same, but maybe there are various versions.

Van Homen (HOM?)

the only fits that used a cable guide and not just a cable stop were the flow and those were a split type not a solid tube , plus their gussets come up to half way on the downtube whereas this doesnt

im sure 414 industries ( the seatpost ) is owned by anthony revell and came stock on some complete bikes but i cant seem to remember which ones

the federal had a toptube gusset , no chainstay yoke ( a straight up double diamond frame ) before it went internal/hiddenset it had a notable flare to the headtube

it was also notable because it was short in both the front and the back

ive just remembered that the front wheel is a " northern john " spec sold by alans a few years ago

Im not sure of the tt lengh we isnt in at the mo , so i cant measure it, here is a pic of the seat tube, looks abit different than the fit ? this bike has a US bb, and a normal headset, its been painted over in white, the bike looks like it was black,  :daumenhoch:

and the dropouts ,

pretty sure its a federal division, 1st gen about 2000ish, I had one for a while, hated it coz it was to long.... think they had a problem with them as cyclone were knocking them out for £140 even tho they had just been released... rrp £210..

ooooh new pics  :)

i can see why you think its been pinched , no one was tried to get rid of the numbers with a screwdriver or anything lol

the crimped not capped end of the stays suggest its not american made to me

i wish companys kept a timeline of their stuff , its hard work looking for differences in frames when every photo on the interweb is damn 08  >:(

t1 had a nice timeline on their old site but they ditched it a while ago  :tickedoff:

cheers guys , so ive looked through some mags, and all the federal's ive found have the brakes on the chainstays , this just shows you how genetic these frames are, ive got a feeling this bike is from around 03-04 ish, as just has that look to it,  ??? and yeah rob he got a right bargain, everytime ive helped him do something onit ive noticed another cool part, sad thing is ,this bike must of been owned by a kid who loved it, as he put some nice bits on it   :-\

im knackered

been through everything i can think of that has the traits that set it apart but everything has an ever so slight difference

the nearest i can find is

http://www.alansbmx.com/product_info.php?cPath=21&products_id=5688

click on the pic and comparfe it side by side

its not it exactly because its tooo new but it shows 2hip are using if not the same then very similar gusset/stay caps / rear end / etc . it could be a 2hip complete from a couple of years ago

but whatever it is its still a set of profiles for £3  ;D

perry, because this had some nice bits just made me think its something goodish , but the features are so similar on these nuschool bikes makes it hard , i keep seeing pics, and thinking thats it, then notice some little differences,  :-\

yep , me and a mate used to be excellent at spotting parts

im certain its a 2hip  :)

been looking at their site and if you look at the one between the pork and the playboi ( the dirty coloured one ) you can see the chainstays are slightly kinked just like in your pic with the bottom bracket

http://www.2hip.com/products_frames.html

a mate had a pork for years and the quality and depth of the welding and the way the stays are capped is very similar

if you look at the playboi complete you can just about see the downtube gusset

http://www.2hip.com/products_bikes_playboi.html

their stems are also chunky , the dropout on the forks are the same and there is a cable gude near the headtube

it may not be any of these models or even last years but it shows 2hip have been using these frame quirks

 :)

edit , i doubt they are pitchforks as all the one i remember have had a slightly shorter dropout below the leg as i remember always catching he weld on the edge of the leg on grinds , to me out of all the aftermarket forks ive seen they remind me of volumes , but you might never know until you ine them up against some others and see the shape of the legs

but you could take a pic of the wedge welded in to the steerer as that is a good way of telling forks apart ( or at least it was lol )
