okay, lets be honest here........this BMX lark ain't getting any cheaper..!!  :(  ::)

Here's a good question:

....to what extent have you bank-rolled this hobby to date ??

and how much do you think your 'collection' is worth v's what you actually paid ???  :)

myself, i reckon i have spent £8 grand in the last 2 1/2 years, but I have also sold £3,500 worth of stuff- therefore my collection stands me in £4,500k ??? But is worth about  £8.5k at today's values..... :-\

hmmmm, small beer compared to some..... :buck2:

talk to me  ;)

...that includes you Lee  ;) !

....and you rich 'Porker' Driving, Merchant Banker types !! you know who you are... ;D

probably 9k 0n 9 bikes, if i spent that on a car 2 years ago it would probably be worth about half that, so i supose it represents good investment, though my wife wouldnt think so. :smitten:

according to his missus, Pickle got the bargain of the century with his Proclaimer....  :LolLolLolLol:  if only she knew what he did spend....

on old school stuff i've probably spend well under a grand, but not really into the collecting of it, so i've probably spent over my limit.

new school..... we won't even go into that..... most of it is for resale though, so it's not all bad.

Humm good thread... worryingly I reckon about £3k I've spent but sold some bits also. Values of the bikes far exceed that amount though, probably nearer the 8k mark at today's valuations. So a good investment really, but it's stuff I hope to never sell....  ;)

Not sure I have probably sold just as much as I have bought over the years?

My current collection is probably worth somewhere between 13-15K.

I reckon I've spent 3.5K since December. Which means I could have bought a 300mm f2.8L instead. Oh well.

I've probably spent 2.5K+ in total at least.

I think I've easily spent over 1k on magazines.   Seeing who had the biggest wallet out of Deckard and me cost me stacks of coin on ebay trying to acquire magazines.  We both lost in that war, with our wallets being the major casualties.

I have no impulse control.   I'm like a magpie.   I see something that catches my eye.......and after I wake up after the blackout its bought with a huge gaping hole in my bank account.

I have quite a bit of stuff lying around too.  I will sort it all out one day and flog what I don't need.

I would never ever get back the money I spent on stuff.   I'm running this venture at a loss, like a gambling habit.   If I can't afford it then I don't buy it.

Lucky I don't have a girlfriend at the moment because she'd go apeshit!!!!

That and the fact I'm spending it on me instead of her.

But, I'm enjoying myself and you could quite easily do another hobby which would hurt your wallet much more than this lark.

So this BMX stuff ain't too bad really.  In fact I'm loving it!

Im strictly small time, but now have a collection worth around £600-700 (thats a NOS Streetbeat and a 90 Robinson).  That since xmas, and having worked it out its not cost me a penny.  Ive traded up to where I am now in that time through some sound deals and a good business brain...lol

I am now moving on and selling the Robinson shortly.

fooking loads...and i mean loads...

i just went mad, and bought all sorts. Done quite well with my purchases as well...only a couple of fook ups.

best purchase was a JMC Darrell Young....am just about to start doing that one again.

if i knocked it all out today, i'd see a profit, so i'm happy knowing not of it is just being 'gentlemans relished'.

the other upside is i gave up smoking 30 fags a day about a year ago, so the 4000 i've saved has gone some way towards paying for it all.

Good point Dan.
Some spent, some earned, some got new mates  :daumenhoch:

I got more mates (distant mates for most of them  :() than expenses in the end I think  ;)
Well, that's a bit of money though, as the missus said
