Goose update
« on: March 11, 2008, 07:55 AM »
Right my mate gave me his old Goose at the weekend, it was in a bit of a state but nothing too bad........

so last night the Mrs went off to the Gym so i had a bit of a play with it, i know it needs quite a bit more TLC but it's coming along nicely  :)

but he also gave me the wheels he had which after a little clean up are reet nice! Rigida rims? not seen too many of these before? i think they're pretty cheap looking at the hubs but they run true and spin forever! also the rear has a Mongoose stamped freewheel so i'm guessing they came on the bike?

I need a set of forks for it though, so if anyone has any knocking about please send me a PM  :daumenhoch:  oh and should i get a new set of Decals or just leave it as it is?

Either Oxalic Acid or the Coke and foil trick will bring that up nicely  :daumenhoch:.

Wheels look OK, shame about the steel hubs.  Some wire wool on the spokes and they will clean up nicely  :daumenhoch:.
