you opened a can of whoopass on yourself there lee.....ffs, hammerite.

if your gonna paint the fooker, go get some good quality rattle cans, and put a decent amount of time into the prep.

remember, the finish depends on the effort put into the preparation.....the 5 p rule applies

1. piss
2. poor
3. preparation
3. prevents
5. performance

love you

Dave
haro, how do you do

My dad once painted a crosser frame with hammerite and well i think it looked ok

"the partridge " is taken straight from flybikes , look in the archives for "dude contest"

they wanted a bike painted the best and that won  :)

i have a rim just like them in orange and blue that goes pink when it spins  :2funny:

the next is an odyssey team rider , note the plastic pedals

the last is a track frame covered in comics , id copy the hell out of it but have yet to work out how i could stick paper to metal and seal it . ive got a couple frames i want to cover in images and the inside of the roof of my cortina is begging for it  8)

im open to suggestions on adhesives and sealers  :)

Lee,

Isn't the hammerite finish the same (or close enough) to that awful Hutch Futuristic Black (that decals can't stick to)?

Just not sure if Black was the only colour for that finish??
