Picked this up Friday morning...........collaboration between SBD and London Chroming. Pictures don't do either the colour and finish of the powder coat or the depth of the chrome. Awesome finish, stoked. Best part of it was meeting Dan. Great man and an artist. And cares 100% about what he's working on, full of good advice. Dan even taped up the inside of the bottom bracket where the unpolished chrome was, made it look brand new - it would have been the same out of the Redline factory door in 1985. I'm going to be doing a resto thread on this build soon.

My sorry for itself GT Pro arrived back from Dan's today.

It's fair to say, it's far from sorry now, it looks absolutely amazing, I'm really happy with the job Dan's done on it.

Anyway, here's the pics....

SBD finished a powdercoat to this GT Mallet Stem and a set of very poor condition GT rear standers for me.

Picked them up this morning, like new. And SBD had the cheek to apologise for the time taken! SBD colour matched against a set of NOS GT Front standers - in case the pictures don't do them justice, the colour match is perfect!!

Did you just have the rear triangle chromed first or the whole frame? Looking forward to seeing this built up.  :smitten:

I had the complete frame rechromed but just the rear triangle up to the seat post polished. The frame was in a right state when I bought it. It had been power coated over a chrome that had rusted away and left marks / ripples under the powder coat. It had part of a seat post stuck in rattling around in the mast so under SBD's advice I had it stripped back all the way and started it all again.

picked this up from SBD on Friday (Custom 1985 CW Cali Freestyler) and chuffed to bits with how the colour turned out (RAL6027).

Absolutely fantastic job done by Dan, he's a proper gent and the work he put into this (the chrome needed quite a bit more prep than he realised on first inspection) was above and beyond! Had a good chat about the work he does at his paintshop & a peek at some work he had ongoing - anyone looking to go with his new candy red is not gonna be sorry!

Some piccies after putting the decals on....

Today the Xmas build arrived.......  Ford Vision metallic blue wet paint.  Hard to fully appreciate the quality of Dan's work in the photos  :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:  The before pics are just to highlight the standard of finish even when starting with less than NOS!

SBD worked his Candy Apple Red on this baseball 85 GT pro performer; picked it up this morning, totally stoked with it.
Its almost as if there's red glass poured over it.
