MX1000's vs 901's
« on: March 07, 2008, 08:14 AM »
Me being a novice and all cant see the apparent difference between DC 901's at £40 a NOS set and the MX1000's at £250ish.

Whats the main differences cos they look the same to me.

they don't look the same though!!

The 900's and 1000's look the same but the reach on the 1000's is 10mm longer. They're all crap compared to modern braking standards, plus in my case at least they don't work the same trying to haul down a 16 stoner compared to an 8 stone whippet of a kid!! ;D

if you wanna stop, get some bulldogs. still available, £12 each, they do a potts mod version for the front and they work heaps better.

but not quite era specific I guess.
