Can anyone answer this question?
« on: February 28, 2008, 09:54 PM »
Hi,

Can anyone help?

Back in 1980 my parents brought me a Moto 1 bmx, it was inported from the USA by a company called Serval Markating LTD and I do know it was the 2nd one into the country as my friend had the 1st one as a shop demonstrator. I've looked at many web sites trying to find out about a Moto 1 bmx with no joy. Is anyone able to help me with any info regarding this type of bmx. Are there anymore out there does anyone own one etc. If so please get back to me.

Many Thanks,
Gordon.

I had one, i  have a photo somewhere of it. I'll try and find it.

Mine was black with yellow pads. It was my first BMX, about 82ish.

I know i used it for my paper round, it was eventually resrayed silver with red flashes on it. It sadly died a few years later where i replaced it with a firebird freestyler.
One build a year, the only way to get it right. No rushing involved.

Thank you for the Two replys so far, I must admit I never thougt I would get replys that quick or at all.

I used to work at Servel Markating on Saturdays and remember these bikes coming into the shop, im not sure how many was sold but I do know it was not that many, it's just intresting to try and find out how many are still out there if any other then mine.

As im just coming to the end of restoring it for my boy, I will post some photos soon when it's complete, although the bike has change colour to Gold and built to the spec my boy wanted it still looks good and still sports it's Moto One badge with pride.

Thank you both for getting back to me so quickly.

Gordon.
