GT Pro Performer idea
« on: February 25, 2008, 01:18 PM »
Guys, I'm doing this all black custom 83' gt pro performer build at the moment and its going to be completely black with polished chrome/alloy parts everywhere. What i'm thinking of doing is putting spoked wheels on this, not tuffs. Nearly every build I have has tuffs on it but was there any riders BITD on performers that had spokes? And has anyone got a photo they can upload? I think it'll be cool to have something different....  ;)

I think Kurt Schmidt ("krts") on Youtube had a vid of Fiola in upland riding spokes... 1 3/8 even !!

I remember several of my mates had Performers with Z-Rims bitd. We either rode Tuffs or Z's, as we all had 'freestyle' bikes.
Personally I'd like to see your Performer with spokes, dare to be different as they say.

Yeah spokes look nice...but I prefer tuffs on a performer - but sometimes it's nice to do something a little different. So go for it!

BTW, are you sure it's an 83? They didn't start making Performers until Feb 84...

What is the serial number?
