ok thats that theory out the window. i thought the idea of the fluted post was to make stonger so it would not bend.

I had a haro fluted layback seatpost that I bought from US ebay about a year ago.

so they are out there

Yep, me think Haro too! Have one on o/s ride & do see em coming up on the bay, tho usually from Thailand with free postage & luvulongtime etc.  :)
