Dyno Helmet Needs restoring.
« on: February 18, 2008, 10:02 PM »
I purchased a OS Dyno Helmet off ebay a while back.

It's okay apart from the thin spongy fabric liner was super sweaty.    I removed the polystyrene protection from the helmet so I could get the fabric out and give it a good wash.

The fabric looked like it had been taken off before because it was just taped back on with some brown packing tape.

The fabric is a bit worse for wear and 2 Sponge pads from around the ears had totally disintergrated.

Does anyone know where I can get a new piece of fabric from?

Has anybody had a go a replacing these parts?

It was an impulse buy.   Sometimes I just can't resist.

If I can get some spongy thin fabric and I'll stick some spongy bits for the ears, it would look alright.

Any suggestions?
