1991 Bully advert
« on: February 15, 2008, 11:55 AM »
Im sure someone was asking for pictures of built up Bullies but I cant find the thread.

Anyway, here is an add i just found in an April 1991 issue of Go magazine. Check out how the "bully" stems look exactly like the old MCS stems. Making use of old stock I guess.

I gotta be honest, those bikes totally sucked!  :-\

I got one in early 1990 cos they were the first bike with a plastic bashguard, and it looked like it was nicely designed into the frame, not just tacked on after. As soon as I got the frame out of the box I could see how badly it was built, and there was no thought put into the geometry of the bike at all, it was all just about the bash guard.

They weren’t nice bikes at all … sorry.  :-X

Agreed! 2 local guys had the cheap bully frames in the early 90's & it seemed like Bully just completely bypassed the QC stage :knuppel2: they did 'look the part' though :daumenhoch:

I had that Bully video too, really good Dirt Bros section, not sure about the section of RL playing basketball though.

Who was the rider with the grateful dead t-shirts, I think he rode for general,  (remember them) I think i remember a section with him
and some others riding a minature golf course?

Would love to see the vid again, along with Aggroman.

karlo wik?

Karlo always had strange rainbow colours tie dyed shrits. He always struk me as the odd one out of the DBI crew. They all looked like SD gangster drop outs and he was more of a 70s Cali beach bro.

Im actually watching him now on "Hicks in Action", the first Dirt Bros Vid. "Cheese" Next  :daumenhoch:

Another night of high-class video nostalgia at the Leech residence  :LolLolLolLol: The mrs must be out working again Alex?

My fave bit of Slow Ride was the Dominguez section, living the hick life -  he had goats while the rest of us had goatees!

Yep! She is at work, and Im FINALLY doing some copies of this DVD.

Id forgotten about Mike D on that Video. Didnt he have two massive black eyes in it? As I remember, he was kind of a mess.
